Note Regarding Conversion to Automatic Update Program: Prior updates installed a new automatic update program. Once you have upgraded to this, your system should automatically check our website for updates if you are connected and have search capability on the internet. When updates are available, with your permission, updates will install automatically including transfer of current client and consultant data.

The LTC Economic Impact Planning Model software downloaded here is for registered LFA/Sagemark Consulting producers who are new or current subscribers. To use the download, a subscriber must already have a prior version of the LTCia software or have Microsoft Access 97, 2000, 2003 or XP installed on their computer. If you are not sure whether this applies to you, please check with your technical support staff. The software installation process requires a User Id that matches your Consultant Name. If you do not have a current subscription id, please obtain one using our online order form. We will E-mail you a user id matching your name.

Download Instructions

1. New Users

Click here to create the directory for installing the software. In the window that pops up, select Open or Run this program from the current location, then click ok.

bulletClose the black window, and go to Download Now.

2. Current Users

If you want to save active current client records by retaining the old version of the software, click here to Save Current Files.

bulletIf your user id has expired or you do not wish to save current records, proceed to Download Now

3. Download Now

After clicking on the appropriate button to download either Access 2000/XP or Access 97, a window will pop up asking you whether you want to Open this file from its current location or Save this file to disk. Select Save this file to disk.

You must navigate in the "Save In" box so that it contains the ltcia or ltcia2 folder. The path to locate that folder is normally C:\Program Files\ltcia or C:\Program Files\ltcia2k.

bulletSelect the "Get It" button below that contains the Access version currently on your computer. If you are not sure which version you are running, please ask your RPO technical support staff for assistance.

bulletYou are now ready to run the model. The first time you open the new version, you will be asked for your consultant name and then your user id. After successfully entering your user id, you then should enter your professional credentials and other contact information. Save Current Files

In Windows Explorer, find the folder Program Files and click on the + to the left of it. Then, find the Ltcia folder that will appear in the list that drops down under Program Files and click on it. Some early versions of the model installed in c:\My Documents\Ltcia. If your model is in this folder, you must move it to c:\Program Files\Ltcia. You will also need to adjust the Shortcuts on your desktop and start menu to point to the correct folder. If you need assistance with this, please contact your RPO tech services professional.

On the right side of the screen, find the file that is named ltcia.mde. On some systems, it will just display ltcia for the name, but there should only be one ltcia file in this folder. If there is more than one, you can display the full filename of a file by clicking on it once with the right mouse button, then clicking on Properties in the menu, which pops up.

Click on ltcia.mde with the right mouse button, and then click on Rename in the menu that pops up. Type ltciaold.mde for the new name.

Now, click here to download the new version.
